Welcome to Communist China
CBC & Memorandum D9-1-15
Chinaâs 1.4 billion citizens live inside the Great Firewall, a censorship system so intense that typing certain banned phrases can make your browser just stop loading. Foreign news, major websites, and political history are all filtered, blocked, or wiped in real time, while the CCP blasts people with nonstop state propaganda from the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party. Itâs hard to imagine a more suffocating information system in the modern world.
Canada must be completely different, right? Incorrect. The Laurentian Elites at the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) think theyâre smarter than everyone else, and can tell us what books we should, and should not, read. Itâs called Memorandum D9-1-15, I call it Memorandum Stupid.
And do not think these CBSA officers are hard-working men and women on the front lines wearing bulletproof vests, protecting us from danger. No, in fact, they are government bureaucrats, sitting in offices in places like Ottawa, watching Liberal CBC propaganda all day, thinking they are better than us muggles.
âHate propagandaâ in Canada basically means: âAnything a good globalist Liberal doesnât like.â And âobscenityâ means, well, who knows what the CBSA thinks obscenity means honestly⌠Did you know a bunch of French porn books written in France are labelled as âobscenityâ by the CBSA? No wonder men outside of Quebec arenât getting better at the French language. Why are we blocking Franceâs books? Ridiculous.
Half the time, the CBSA doesnât even bother to fully review the books theyâre intercepting. Instead of formally seizing anything or making an actual classification under the Criminal Code, they just quietly send the package back to the sender and pretend it never existed. And hereâs the trick: because they didnât seize it, you get no notice, no explanation, and absolutely no way to appeal. Unless you already understand the CBSAâs internal loopholes, youâll just assume the package got lost in the mail. So you re-buy the book, you try again, and you hope that this time the CBSA Gods will benevolently permit you to read whatever harmless âforbiddenâ material they decided to disappear the first time around.
This was the case in the Little Sisters Book and Art Emporium v. Canada Supreme Court case, where a Vancouver bookstoreâs shipments were blocked at the border, essentially at random, causing endless problems for the small business. Now it doesnât matter what you think of the LGBT issue. The government is not in charge of our opinions or beliefs, and shouldnât be trying to control what information we receive.
Canada also has one of the biggest state-funded news media organizations of any Western country, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). We spend $1.4 billion on this network every year, or ~0.3% of the Government of Canadaâs federal revenue. This is about what Brits fork over for the BBC, a network the White House now describes as â100% fake news.â Think of all the good things you could do with $1.4 billion dollars, now realize all that money is wasted on Liberal CBC bureaucrats.
The CBC is a Liberal propaganda machine that blasts Canadian citizens with immigration sob stories every single day of the week, regardless of:
How many âasylumâ seekers are homeless.
How high rent prices are due to immigration (itâs called Supply and Demand).
Why youth unemployment is hitting decade-level highs, which magically has nothing to do with the historic high levels of temporary immigration if you believe CBC.
These things donât affect the Liberal bureaucrat in their gated communities. Besides, it might challenge their underlying worldviews and opinions, and their Liberal minds cannot handle that. For CBC, immigration is the solution to every problem. For CBC, third-world immigration is an objective good. More third-world immigration is always better, and Canadians just need to stop being so racist. âDiversity is our strengthâ, as big brother constantly reminds us.
CBC is a pseudo-government organization that receives no external feedback on its reporting, because the Government of Canadaâs taxpayers always foot the bill. Regardless of the quality of the drivel they manage to push out.
We do not need a government funding Liberal propaganda like the CBC. Additionally, our government shouldnât be trying to block books with ideas they simply donât like. Memorandum D9-1-15 is a weird last-century information censorship mechanism, that needs to go the way of the dodo bird.
Even if you think Memorandum D9-1-15 is a good idea, it doesnât actually accomplish anything. Books that are genuinely awful, full of black-propaganda garbage, are still freely available online and always will be. Why? Because the United States has real free-speech protections, which means even the worst material is legally accessible for historical and archival purposes. So while the CBSA was patting itself on the back for blocking Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion from October to December 2024, the exact same text was (and still is) sitting openly on a U.S. government archive. You can literally Google it. Brilliant work, CBSA.
Books that are blocked by the CBSA can simply be bought legally as e-books on Amazonâs Kindle, found on Google as PDFs, or viewed on American online archives. Meaning the CBSAâs Memorandum D9-1-15 is completely pointless in practice. It amounts to vague and pointless information censorship from a different century, something citizens of a free country shouldnât stand for.
Liberals, who always believe in ever-increasing Big Government Socialism & Control, will of course say: âOh, in that case, we need pervasive internet censorship and monitoring!â Congrats, youâve just reinvented the Chinese Communist Partyâs Great Firewall. Similar to what Europe has done with EUâs Digital Services Act (DSA):
In Europe, thousands are being convicted for the crime of criticizing their own governments. This Orwellian message wonât fool the United States. Censorship is not freedom.
Our Government is not smarter than us. Our government works for us, the people. We shouldnât be acting like an authoritarian/totalitarian country such as China or North Korea. I do not think the Government of Canada should try to control our thoughts & beliefs, or information we consume through widespread state-funded propaganda (CBC) and information censorship (Memorandum D9-1-15).
Canada needs to be against state-funded propaganda and information censorship, or we are no better than the Chinese Communist Party.
